Universal Health Coverage can be defined as the common goal of achieving access for all to a full spectrum of services of good quality ranging from prevention to rehabilitation according to need at an affordable cost to consumers (WHO,2010).

With support of the Rockefeller Foundation the Centre of Excellence on Universal Health Coverage was launched in April 2011.
